Bri Oglu is a Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter and cinematic pop artist whose love for music spans nearly every genre under the sun. Her passion for singing began at a young age and continues to shine through in her work today, where she crafts versatile songs that highlight the dynamic textures of her voice and the diverse influences that shaped her upbringing.

Bri’s childhood was immersed in two distinct musical landscapes: her mother’s midwestern roots steeped in country and pop, and her father and adoptive mother’s affinity for classic rock, ‘80s music, and jazz. Growing up, she wrote songs and emulated the artists she heard around the house and on the radio—legends like Ann Wilson (Heart), Britney Spears, Shania Twain, and Dido. In high school, she joined chorus, theatre, and a local gospel choir, where she fell in love with the visceral, soaring vocals of Idina Menzel. A high school sweetheart introduced her to metal and alt-rock, further expanding her sonic palette.

After high school, Bri moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting, initially intimidated by the city’s thriving and competitive music scene. While working at a karaoke bar and performing gigs around town, she was exposed to jazz and soul music, which added the final elements to her diversely influenced sound. Eventually, her passion for music reclaimed center stage, and she committed fully to her career as an artist.

When venues shut down during the pandemic, Bri turned inward, channeling her energy into writing and recording her six-track EP, Somewhere Else. The collection highlights her sultry yet powerful voice, paired with cinematic pop production crafted by artist and producer Will Snyder. Her latest single, Mean Girl, is poised to be the next alt-pop anthem of feminine rage, solidifying Bri as a bold and unapologetic voice in today’s music scene.
